An archive of internal records

hexane.cc publishes organisational documents, internal correspondence and administrative records that are in the public interest. The archive exists so that journalists, researchers and members of the public can examine primary material directly rather than rely on second-hand summaries.

What is published

Each record is a single document or message. For every entry the archive provides a classification, a short neutral summary, a date where one exists, and — where relevant — counts of the kinds of identifiers the record contains.

What is not published

• Material with no public-interest value: routine invoices, templates, automated notifications and similar administrative noise.

Structure

Records are grouped into five classes — correspondence, mailboxes, documents, databases and sensitive records — and each carries a severity from low to critical. Severity describes the substance of the content, not the prominence of anyone named in it.

Deduplication

One document produces one entry. Where many near-identical items exist (for example repeated form submissions), they are collapsed into a single record describing the group.

PGP key — contact and media only

This key is published exclusively for contacting hexane about this archive and for media enquiries. It is not used to sign documents, releases or torrents, and a signature from it should not be read as authentication of any file.

We take accuracy seriously. If an entry misstates a fact, misidentifies a person, or creates a concrete risk to an individual, write to us with the entry reference and the specific concern. Corrections are applied to the archive; removal requests are assessed individually and in good faith.
